I killed these two birds in Arkansas. First (on left), a 3 year old with 1 inch spurs, 10.5 inch beard and about 22 pounds. Second (on right), a 2 year old with a 9 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs and 21 pounds. |

I killed this nice 3 year old bird on our 3rd day in OK. We had found some private land to hunt on and oh what a difference it made. I killed this nice 3 year old bird on our 3rd day in OK in the afternoon. He looks bad because I killed him in a terrible thunderstorm. I killed this bird on our last full day of hunting in South Dakota. It was a three year old, and I killed him on some private land I got permission to hunt. |
I tagged this good Rio in NE. He had some good hooks--1 1/4 inch. Probably a 4 or 5 year old bird. Called him in with a slate call that Fred gave me. |
