Hunting in Arkansas
(Spring of 2009)

I killed these two birds in Arkansas.  First (on left), a 3 year old with 1 inch spurs, 10.5 inch beard and about 22 pounds.  Second (on right), a 2 year old with a 9 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs and 21 pounds.

Hunting With Lance in Oklahoma
    (Spring of 2009)

I killed this nice 3 year old bird on our 3rd day in OK.  We had found some private land to hunt on and oh what a difference it made.  Made a good friend! Lance killed this nice bird on the 3rd day in OK.  We called him up about 100 yards from the place I killed mine (to left) about 30 minutes later.
I killed this nice 3 year old bird on our 3rd day in OK in the afternoon.  He looks bad because I killed him in a terrible thunderstorm.  I looked the same!  Lance killed this nice 3 year old bird on our last morning in OK.  He escaped when I killed the bird to the left on the day before, but not this time.

Hunting in South Dakota and Nebraska
(Spring of 2009)

I killed this bird on our last full day of hunting in South Dakota.  It was a three year old, and I killed him on some private land I got permission to hunt.

I tagged this good Rio in NE.  He had some good hooks--1 1/4 inch.  Probably a 4 or 5 year old bird. Called him in with a slate call that Fred gave me.

Hunting With Emory in Kansas
(Spring of 2009)

Emory killed this nice bird the first day of our Kansas hunt.  He had 1 /4 spurs and you can see the long beard.  Probably a 4 or 5 year old bird.

Emory killed this nice bird on day two of our Kansas hunt.  He too is a nice bird, but not a match for the first.

I killed these brothers in Kansas.  Both had spurs over an inch.  Likely 3 year olds.
